1.1 Account Information (Single Sign-On)
Shelfmate uses third-party authentication providers to allow users to sign in. Currently supported providers include:

We do not collect, store, or have access to your passwords.
1.2 User Content Stored on Device Only
Shelfmate allows users to upload or add content such as:
- Book covers (any image chosen by the user)
- Book titles, authors, and personal catalog data

All such content is stored locally on your device only.
We do not:
- Upload this data to our servers
- Sync it across devices
- Back it up to the cloud
- Access, view, or control this data in any way
Because this data remains entirely on your device, we cannot retrieve, modify, or delete it on your behalf.
1.3 Usage and Diagnostic Information
We may collect limited, non-personal information related to app usage and performance, such as:
- Feature usage patterns
- App crashes or errors
- Session duration
- Technical diagnostics
This information is used solely to improve app stability, performance, and reliability.
1.4 Device and Technical Data

2 How We Use Information

- Authenticate users via supported sign-in providers

Shelfmate may display advertisements now or in the future.

However, no digital system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5 Data Retention
- Account-related information is retained only as long as necessary to provide the App's services or meet legal requirements
- User-generated content stored locally remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
Because locally stored data is not synced or backed up by us, you are responsible for creating any personal backups.
6 Data Loss Disclaimer
Uninstalling the App, resetting your device, or changing devices may result in permanent loss of locally stored data unless you have created your own backup.
We are not responsible for any loss of user data stored on your device.
7 Children's Privacy
Shelfmate is intended for a general audience.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable laws. If you believe that a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8 Third-Party Services
Shelfmate relies on third-party services for:
- Authentication
- Diagnostics and crash reporting
- Advertising (if enabled)
These third parties operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices and encourage users to review their policies separately.

Account deletion requests must be submitted via email. Locally stored data must be deleted directly by the user from their device.

Material changes will be communicated through the App or other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
